A Neighbourhood

A Neigbourhood
I was actually thinking of creating a neighbourhood, and then I thought it over again; Why don't ask the others if they want to participate in making one?
I guess a lot of you have seen the different threads on TS3 site where people are making their Sims and houses, an example of this is "A Berrysweet Neighbourhood", which I actually participated in. I have to say that it was a lot of fun, although making a neighbourhood surely takes a while.. or two.

Why do we do this?
I thought it would be fun to see what people were making and then, in the end, putting it all together in a fabulous neighbourhood which contains other Sims and houses than the ones we create ourselves. I know that I never go to the exchange to look for houses or Sims, because I always make it myself. The times I've looked for Sims is when I'm looking for households, so I can get more CC!

What do I need to do?
First of all I need to know how many who's interested in this project, because if I'm the only one interested it's like a dead case. Other than that you can decide if you want to create Sims, houses or both!

How can I help before we eventually start this project?
We could always begin by finding a suitable neighborhood, if you're not interesting in using Sunset Valley or Riverview. I've played a bit on Neverglade (http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/191704.page), but I think it's essential that you have WA to play it, because of the bridges. Without them you probably won't get over to the other side, but I really have no idea, because I haven't tried without WA.

If you guys have any questions at all, just ask them. I really want this to happen, because I really need a new neighbourhood filled with new houses and Sims, and I bet you guys are ready for something new too!

I currently have a neighbourhood which has roads and stuff, and I'm currently putting down lots.
It's an Egyptian desert Island, which is gonna have a sphinx or pyramid, though it wouldn't be hard to fill up, though it will have alot of lots :D

I've never made a world with CAW, although I've tried, but I suck. Haha. Didn't understand a thing

I could help :D Are we going to fill the town with sims? Or just leave it. I can make houses, not amazing but I can make em' lol

I've started to make my own town. I don't use CAW though, I have no idea, but I'm using some world I downloaded. I'm going to populate it with aliens and make weird alien houses. I might even make a story out of it.

We are filling the town with Sims and houses, you could even make a family and create a house just for them

The only thing about it that I don't like is the very unrealistic mountain type thing...
Seeing as we are now known as the crackerheads, the sims, houses and town should be crackheadedly random too, don't you think?

This sounds like fun. I okay at making sims but I’m better at making houses.
I don’t like to download towns from the exchange, I tried Riverview for a while but now I just stick with Sunset Valley.

I love writing stories and I remember how in TS2 there were stories with each family, like the Goths and the Caliente sisters. I think it would be fun if everyone who made a family or sim included a short story with them. Like a paragraph about their wants or their family issues.
Then once the town was done we could see what drama would come out.
Like I said I like to write so everyone might not like this idea but its just an idea :)

I've also got a town called sunsong Island, which is at the painting stage. I was planning to paint different parts of it different colours, and have the sims who live in those parts the same colour

I have no idea how the CAW tool works, Lehd, but I guess it'll be just fine. You could always take some pictures and show them to us, so it would be easier to decide :G

But I'm a multi tasker, so I want to do simmies, and can I do community lots? Also, can I include the Rabbithole Rugs at MTS so I can actually make the rabbitholes as well :D

Sure, Jake! No problem. But is the raabithole rugs from MTS a CC? If so, GIEF LINK before you use them. Haha. We have to have a theme for our town as well, since I think it's a bit boring with just "normal"-looking Sims. Let's make a multicultural community of all shapes and colours! Yay!
